Adapted from Jay Caldwell’s book of the same title, this film utilizes portrait studies by renowned artist Graig Kreindler, "The Painter of the National Pastime," to chronicle the story of Black Baseball from its 19th century origins through the rise of the Negro Leagues and their role in the reintegration of Major League Baseball.
