DIRECTIVE: To coincide with the College Board’s announcement of plans to redesign the SAT, produce six videos featuring leading educators who would share their perspective on the test, its redesign, and what it means for education.
EXECUTION: With six interview subjects from all corners of the country, I drew up a production schedule that included in Arizona and Georgia, as well as one shoot in Hawaii that I would direct remotely via Skype. With limited budget and a timeframe of under three weeks from directive to delivery, I arranged for three of the educators to travel and be filmed New York City, before traveling to Arizona and Georgia with a freelance Director of Photography to film on location. RESULT: The videos debuted as part of the College Board’s announcement of the SAT redesign at Austin’s SXSW.
